Maya MASH motion blur euler flipping - redshift

Hi,

I have a mash system setup driving a network of gears.  When I render the animation with motion blur, the rotation of the gears randomly glitch (looks like a subframe rotational flip). (see attached clip)

The rotations are driven by a simple mash offset of the Z axis set to local.

After animating the sequence, we have hit a wall on how to solve this!  Seems so simple.  Ive attached the mash rig referenced into the animation scene.

How can we get around some of the rotations mash deals with under the hood to ensure no euler flips?

Any ideas would be greatly appreicated.!!

Thanks

Dan

Were you able to solve this? I also ran into the same issue.
