This is for my Forensic Case (aka Ich Bin Ein Berliner Project).
My current challenge is to perform FEA/CFD simulations in a cranium model, as depicted here:
For that, I intend to use the Free ANSYS Student Edition. I thought that all I needed was yet another cranium model. The most clear workflow seems to be starting with Maya. After purchasing 4 models, and trying with Maya 2019 and Maya 2020, I decided to go back to basics.
I made the simplest scene in Maya (a cube and a cylinder) and tried to export it to:
• IGES: A very small file is generated
• Parasolid: No output is produced
• STEP: Maya crashes hard.
This seems like a serious 100% replicable bug. It does not matter what scene I try to export I get the 3 described results.
What other route to those file formats (preferably Parasolid) is there?
TIA,

I tried using Inventor and the problem remains. The Autodesk libraries don't seem to work as advertised. : -(
