Maya 2019 Indie version install error

Anonymous

Hi all,

I recently bought the indie version of Maya 2019 and am having trouble installing it. I keep getting an error saying, connection expired, plese return to site.

I've called Autodesk customer service and got no response.

I tried the AVA agent via browser download and regular install, neither worked

I tried a regular install with the Autodesk app, same error

I have emailed Autodesk about the issue.

It hasn't even been a day since I bought the indie version.

Please let me know your thoughts on what I can do?

Thanks in advance!

By neither I was reffering to neither trying to download through Autodesk's AVA agent or trying a regular install off the Autodesk websitee worked for me.

what isn’t working the downloading or the installing? or both?

what errors are you getting when you used browser download?

Neither the install or download works.

When I try an install, I get the error shown in the first screenshot.

When I try to download it in the browser, I get the error from the second screenshot.

For whatever reason, when I try a Download Manager download, I get the error in the 3rdscreenshot and the manager says, it's installing the 2018 version instead of 2019.

I did go ahead and see if I could install the 2018 version and then update to 2019 with the Autodesk app, but that didn't seem to work. I do have the Student version of 2018 as well, I think it might be confliciting with the indie version though.

Regardless, the Autodesk App should show me both the Student and Indie Version if both got installed.

Hope this info helps.

Hi!

Please in your Autodesk account try Browser Download and directly download the latest Update version Maya 2019.2 .

I've tried those methods as well and they didn't seem to be working. Would you happen to know if having a student version of 2018 installed could be causing any conflicting issues?

I'm also on a call with customer service to resolve this issue.

Hi!

No, this cannot block the simple download of an installer, but there may be a problem if you have used your student account for a commercial license.

In that case, is there a way I can request a refund for the commercial version and open a new account and buy the commercial version with that account?

Hi!

Autodesk Support should be able to help you with the issue.

Thanks for all the feedback! I think your earlier reply was the right answer. My current account might have been linked specifically with a Student Account, which prevented me from downloading/installing the Commercial version. I got my refund and bought the commercial version off a new Autodesk account.

Thanks Again!
