Maya 2017 Update 4 startup freeze

Hello List,

Maya 2017 Update 4 freezes on startup for about 10-20 sec. SysInternals are showing me that this is caused by an unsuccessfull connection to the internet - which is blocked by our firewall. It seems this connection is used for the SignIn introduced in 2017!? How can I deactivate this 'feature'? IT will NOT open this connections so I need a solution to prevent artists from waiting 10-20 sec. each time there start maya.
