Maya 2017 stops working every few mins

hi my Maya 2017 just will not work while I animate or do anything else I used the 2016.5 and that is working just fine my college is teaching with Maya 2017 and I am getting left out cuz many of those things I just don't have 

plz help me out 

my output screen just goes mad whenever Maya stops working

Just some ideas to sort things out:

 

1. Maya 2017 Update 2 installed?

 

2. Latest graphics card drivers?

 

3. Is this happening with default prefs too?

 

4. Is this happening with "DG" evaluation mode (prefs / animation / evaluation mode)?

If yes, try to set to "Parallel" and turn "GPU Override" off. Is this still working then?

Download maya again yesterday
Yes this is on default
And i tried not using gpu for maya and just tried using parallel
Is there an other way to update maya??
I am on the students edition

Do i have to download maya update 2 from somewhere else
Cuz I downloaded maya clean again today it still does not work
Yeah newest Nvidia drivers but for some reason in the output window it always says that Nvidia drivers not found
Yes its happening in default prefs
I really don't know what is 'DG' evaluation
I did turn gpu override off to check stil was not working

In Maya check the "About" entry in the "Help" menu. It shows what version you are using.

 

You should really have at least Update1 installed. I think I had this problem too in the beginning and the Update fixed it aside from quite a number of other issues. As pointed out, Update 2 brought new issues. So just try Update 1 first.

 

Did you check your Autodesk Account for the Updates? Look for the Maya 2017 entry. There in "Downloads" you should find an "Updates & Addons" section.

 

The "DG" evaluation mode is the legacy mode to evaluate the graph. Actually you should not be needed to use it anymore with your hardware, but if nothing else works, it might be interesting to see if it does anything.

I am trying to make it wok then Arnold stops working or just is not seen anymore

i did do that but even now it crashes as soon as i open my file to work on and i am unable to do anything i mean just rotating kills Maya

I fear it's the same bug as this one:

Only other thing you can try is to switch the Default Viewport in Prefs/Display to Legacy or/and make sure the Renderer in all Views is set to Legacy.
