I am on macOS Sierra Version 10.12.3, with 16 GB Ram, and over 500GB of available memory and both Radeon Pro 460 4096 MB and Intel HD Graphics 530 1536 MB graphics cards. I am trying to use the student version of Maya on my computer, my classmates have the same software version on their computers but do not have the same issues that I am having with both 2017 and 2016 versions of Maya.
With Maya 2017 it always force quits. After trying reinstalling it, and downloading a lower Sierra software version nothing worked and support advised that Maya has not been tested on my computer.
This is from the crash report:
"Application Specific Information:
abort() called
*** error for object 0x7fd83e385e00: incorrect checksum for freed object - object was probably modified after being freed."
With Maya 2016 I have searched through the forums and the solutions I have found do not work. I have tried downloading from the virtual agent, reinstalled and installed, remove files, renamed folders, removed folders from the time machine etc. I get this error:
License was not obtained
Tried Maya 2016 (657H1 2016.0.0.F), error 20
License method:
environment variable MAYA_LICENSE_METHOD='standalone'
Product choice:
environment variable MAYA_LICENSE='unlimited'
License file override:
environment variable MAYA_ALT_EN is not set
When I tried un install Maya and re-initialize the license information file I got this in the terminal line:

I have also removed:
- /Library/Preferences/Flexnet Publisher/FLEXnet/adskflex_########_event.log
- /Library/Preferences/Flexnet Publisher/FLEXnet/adskflex_########_tsf.data
- /Library/Preferences/Flexnet Publisher/FLEXnet/adskflex_########_backup
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
