Maya 2014 Importing Image into Maya not working

Hey all, I have a query to make. I am trying to import a 2D Concept Art Image that I have drawn into Maya, & every time I do, it is not showing at all; instead, it simply displays a Yellow outline Rectangle where the Image is supposed to be shown, with two Yellow Arrows that go across the Screen. What is puzzling me is that I have done this before, & there have been no problems in this matter. So I do not know why this issue seems to be arising. I have also tried importing them from four different views from the Panel Layouts, but to no avail.

What am I doing wrong? Has Maya changed to the point where one can no longer import 2D Concept Art Images into the Scenes? I will attach Image Screenshots of what keeps appearing after I have tried to import my 2D Concept Art Image into my Scene.

Thank you in advance.

Hi @Anonymous

This is very puzzling. I've done the exact same steps as you countless times and it looks like Maya is trying to show the image, hence the yellow lines but it looks like there may be an issue with the image itself.

When you get a chance, can you please post the concept art here so I can see if it loads on my machine?

If the image is private or confidential, feel free to send it to me in a private message and it will only be seen by me for support purposes!

Let me know if anything changes!

Hi @Anonymous

I'm just checking in to see if you're still having this issue with importing images. When you get a chance, can you please post the concept art here so I can see if it loads on my machine?

Hi @Anonymous

While I can see the image I actually can't download it with how it is currently linked.

When you get a chance, can you please link a download for the image so I can see if I can load it into Maya?

Hi!

If you open the image with Area Viewer (just click on inline image), then there is a very small icon on the right bottom for download.

Hi @Anonymous

Unfortunately I can't test this on Maya 2014 but I did on 2015 and was able to import the image fine. When you get a chance, can you possibly make a video of your issue and or post a series of steps to reproduce the issue?

If you need a video capturing program, Screencast is a great option that we use here at Autodesk

Also, have you tried importing other images to see if the same issue occurs? You can also try importing an image to a specific panel i.e the front view, side view etc. and see if the issue still occurs.

Hello Sean. I have already tried importing other different Scenes into Maya, but to no avail. I am still experiencing the exact same issues as usual. I have not been able to, but I will use the Tutorial in that Link to assist me.
