Installing in Ubuntu is not working for Maya 2020

Installing in Ubuntu is not working for Maya 2020. I saw instructions to convert rep to deb https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/maya/learn-explore/caas/simplecontent/content/installing-maya..., but I could not find rep download anywhere. I am only able to download Autodesk_Maya_2020_ML_Linux_64bit.tgz which gives me error saying the OS is not supported. Please help.

Thanks, this is exactly what I needed! Although my Ubuntu is 16.04, so hopefully it will install without much hassle. I will post my experience with the instructions.
