I can't get maya to open (2022)

So I installed 2022, and after I installed it I uninstalled Maya 2020, then I rebooted my computer and I keep getting an Error message. I uninstalled it and Reinstalled it and Same thing.

Hello,

 

Errors suggest this is related to preferences.  First step to debug would be to rename your existing Maya preferences folder and then try to launch.  Do you have any custom environment variables set?  Your current prefs are not in the default location.

So what I had to do is Uninstall Maya 2022, and Delete all the Prefs files and reinstall it and Choose factory settings, and then manually add my old settings. Worked out fine.

Hello, this is Daniela, and I got to Full sail University. Right now I'm in a class trying to finish an assignment and I need to turn tonight at 11:59 pm. so, for two days straight Maya hasn't opened very well. I uninstalled and reinstalled it two days ago, and this evening, it still won't open properly. 

 

Also, I open Maya 2020.4, and it opened just fine, except it would crash a lot. so that's why my instructor thought it was best to change to Maya 2023.3.
