How to break UV link between 2 models without loosing blendshapes?

HI,

So if you ever copied your udims from one model to another via "Transfer attributes" you will also notice that there is an active link between both models.

I've learned that "deleting History" will break that link, however it also destroys all of my blend Shapes.

These blend shapes were created inside Zbrush (maya blend shapes).

So my workflow was:

Import blend shapes from Zbrush

Transfer udims to my  blend shape model

Results are that the blend shapes are sluggish due to the Uv Linking.

If I delete History, I lose Blend Shapes.

Does anyone know of a work around to transfer udims to another model without active linking?

Thanks!

How does deleting of the Non-Deformer History, the next option under the regular one, works? Should keep the blendshapes.

Yup tried that too. Unfortunately it didn't help. My only work around is having to delete history which wipes out the blend shape, then manually redo all of the blend shapes in maya.

Luckily, Zbrush makes copies of all blend shapes and hides them in Maya when it exports. So I had to simply select all shapes and make another blend shape controller.

Thanks again.
