How can I save and load hotkey config files for use between computers

Is there a way that I can use my customized Hotkey and keyboard shortcuts on a different computer?

For those of us who may be working on the same project between multiple computers.

As some of us are attending/returning to school, and may not know what computer we willl be working on in the lab, is there a way to save and load a Hotkey config file, and an easy way to reset the config (for other students) when leaving the workstation?

I should also extend this question to saving/loading your favourite layout as well, as some of us will be probably working on different computers at home and school, and would like the ability to load and save layouts/keybindings, etc.

Thanks.

~\documents\maya\2015x64\prefs

That folder has all those scripts in it - hotkeys, windows, layouts, shelves -

When you exit Maya, all those scripts update, and you can save that prefs file to your USB drive, your dropbox, or wherever you keep your files.

I usually go one better and save the whold 2015x64 folder, which has my scripts and environment in it.

The best way to do this is to log onto the computer, find the default 2015x64 file, rename it to something like "old_2015x64", then load yours into the same directory.  Reverse this when you leave.

Ok yes, I would want to store the entire 2015x64 folder as well, anything that is custom I may use.

I appreciate the helpful response, it was something important to consider.
