Entire Scene In Transform Layer

I'm new, so go easy.

I have a small scene and the CAD files that came from the manufacturer imported with all geometry into a "transform" layer in the outliner. When I click on the element that I need to change and go into control vertex, the entire model shows all vertex.

The edges of the model aren't touching in most places either. Is there a way to close those gaps?

Many Thanks,

Whoever converted some of the nurbs surfaces to poly forgot to delete history, select all those grey out transform nodes and delete them, clean up all the junk that is not in the scene.

With the nurbs surface selected go to Display>Nurbs>Cvs...turn it off.

Look at my jpeg cleaned.

the edges that are not touching  from poly surfaces need to be merged Combine mesh and Merge vertices...the nurbs surfaces could be converted to polys and cleaned up ...Modify>convert Nurbs to Poly....although it may render fine as is.
