Hi all,

I searched  in forum and internet but could'nt find the way to do that.

im workin on hair animation with  XGEN  / Maya

i just want to learn how can i drive description attributes  -such as Density-  by expression or key

i can imagine that 🙂 ,

should be an array which include start frame and end frame information but i dont know how to write it with right syntax

so someone may show me the way how can i do that?

thank you so much for your helps.

cheers,
d.b.

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the community!

I'm a little confused by your issue.

Are you trying to change the density over time like keying it for animation or by scripting or something else?

When you get a chance, please come back and explain in more detail and I'll see what steps we can take to solve this!

Let me know if anything changes!

Hi Sean,

thanks a lot for your reply.

as you said, im tried to animate generic hair loss process using density map.

this was my first study with hair. i guess that's why i chose the hard way.

finally 🙂  , i solved my problem using Cut Modifier.   i used paint map as mask then animated it with Float expression.

cheers,

db
