Graph Editor problems

Maya 2022,
The f button does not frame up on keyframes in the graph editor.  Using "Frame Selection" from the View menu doesn't do anything either.  Autoframe will sometimes change the view in ways I don't expect or want.
Sometimes it reverts to stacked view even after I've changed that setting.  (Why would anyone even want that and why is it a default setting?)
This graph editor does not perform the same way as it did in Maya 2020 (prior to that I always used the legacy version).
I've been using Maya since 2004 and never had these kinds of problems before.  It's really hard to animate when really basic things don't work correctly.

This adds another question...
Which will result in better Maya performance, the nvidia studio driver or the game-ready driver?  Currently I have the studio driver installed (RTX-2080).

When that happens to me I change my workspace from Animation to General and then back to Animation and everything works again.  I hope that helps.

I'm having this exact same issue now ... started happening out of nowhere and I can't get it to work anymore. "f" does not frame selection any longer in the graph editor.

Did you tried to change the workspace to something else and then back to animation?

for anyone who missed my post

I moved my graph editor from my right screen to my left screen and voila the graph editor works.

This is a common bug with geforce - where multiple monitor setups confuse it for some reason.

https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5157/~/after-updating-to-nvidia-game-ready-drive...

The above fix worked for me.

I have the same issue and what you said about the ctrl-c/ctrl-v copying as if its the main viewport just made me realize that on my end, I experienced the same thing a minute ago. I tried copying some keys in the graph editor but instead when I pasted it pasted my whole rig!

Something is definetly wrong with how Maya recognizes which window you is active.

Edit. I just saw that its supposed to be fixed in 2022.4. I am still working with 2022.3

yep - moving graph editor resolves the issue of not being able to frame the selected keys on the curve, or frame all in the window.

you have to select them, right click and then copy keys. It's not done with the shortcut keys because there's more than one thing you can be copying.

Yes, I can also attest to this problem in Maya 2023, it does seem to basically be a focus problem where Maya does not respect the fact that you have the graph ed active.

Clicking into the time and value boxes at top left, which I use frequently, is not immediately respected, so attemping to cut and paste e.g keyframe values often does not work. Worse, this often results in something else (e.g geometry or an entire rig which happens to be selected at the time) getting copied into the scene instead when using ctrl + C and ctrl + V.

Seems like you have to click into these boxes more than once, or wait a second, or something. There are various other problems -- hitting F will bring up another window, my anim curve layout gets changed etc.

It's incredibly detrimental to workflow.

I'm on a dual monitor setup with a RTX3080, and like most people want my main work area on the left and menus and other windows on the right. I've had this kind of problem when working on remote machines where it's been necessary to click twice to get focus, but never on a local box.
