Hi @LabyrinthFire

Is the model UV'd and if so are any of the shells overlapping or outside of the 1x1 space?

If so you'll need to fix that before trying to paint a mask.

If that doesn't help you can try unloading and reloading the Xgen plugins.

@sean.heasley

I have the same issue. What I found is that the type of shader assigned to the Xgen base is important:

- I have this error if I assign "aiStandardSurface"

- however I don't have the issue if I assign a lambert.

- also, having space anywhere in the file structure (even if the hard drive name has space in it's name) might also cause problem with xgen. My observation might be wrong, but that's what I have noticed. So instead of "My Drive", use "My_Drive" and the same for all the folders above your project.

Assign a lambert shader to the mesh, it should solve the issue of XGen not allowing to paint.
