Displacement Map disappearing from Hypershade?

Every time I plug in a displacement map it disappears as soon as I click off the texture.  I've added it back 4 times now, each time I get the same result. I even opened and closed Maya, and reset preference. It will not show the displacement node once I leave that particular texture. Anyone else have this issue?

I wasn't aware I made a duplicate post. Since you read it, do you have a solution to the problem?
