hi, so I'm pretty new at using maya and when I'm doing uvs, if i'm going to texture on substance painter how do i create the uv sets? should I combine the meshes or group them?

Substance painter follows materials not groups or even UV's. Having your UV's layed out is needed in SP of course however. Maybe I am misunderstanding our question?

Thank you for replying! Yes i just want to know if I have to combine the meshes in order to create the sets? Or just by grouping the meshes for example, clothes in one set, metal parts in other set
