Title. When I try to move an object it doesn't move, instead, it just selects a box
I've already tried to reset preferences, but it still doesn't work.

My system:
MacBook Air with Intel core i5 integrated graphics.

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the community!

You may want to try resetting the Move tool.

To do this simply double click on the move tool icon then select Reset Tool.

If that doesn't help, you may want to try changing your rendering engine which can be found under Windows->Settings/Prefs->Display.

Hi @cristinamrusu

Check your GPU drivers and see if they match up with our certified hardware list.

You can find our certified hardware list here!

Hello there. As it seems from the updated list of video cards, mine is not good (i have a NVidia GEFORCE GT 540M). But it seems a bit weird, because I've been using Maya for almost a year and this problem occurred to me only a month ago. Till then everything was working fine.

Hi @cristinamrusu

You could try opening your Maya.env file and add this line to it:

MAYA_DISABLE_OPENCL=1

Also yes your card isn't on our list so you'll want to make sure the drivers are up to date.

Finally if none of the above works you'll want to try deleting your settings/preferences
