Can't load USD plugin

I'm not able to load the USD plugin in Maya Indie 2022 on Windows 10. I get the following error message:

Error: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2022/scripts/others/pluginWin.mel line 316: The specified procedure could not be found.

Any ideas what the problem might be? Thanks!

Still perplexed by this. I did some more reading on this topic and I feel like I might need some other USD-related stuff installed, or set up some PATH variables in Windows, or both? It's not at all clear if MayaUSD is a standalone system or just an interface between Maya and an existing USD installation. The Maya docs make it seems like you just load the plugin and that's it, but it's definitely not working for me. I'm wanting to test this as a bridge between Houdini Solaris and Maya. Solaris outputs a working USD file just fine (confirmed by opening it in Clarisse), but Maya won't even load the plugin, let alone let me open a file.

Removed my original "solution." Turns out it was much simpler:

I had Nuke in my Windows PATH.

Removed that and all is working fine now. Must have been a conflict with Nuke's Python stuff.

I'm running into the same problem. I don't use Nuke so it must be something else that is conflicting.

My problem turned out to be a conflict with the NVIDEA USD tools.

If you have Omniverse to Maya Connector installed just unload it through the plug-in manager and restart maya.

Hemmm. Maybe that was it. I haven't been back to try it, but I was having a problem with omniverse in that I tried loading it into my D drive. Apparently it can only be loaded on the C drive at the time of this writing, but it doesn't say that anywhere in the documentation.

Interesting, I think I chose C drive as the data path for Omniverse, but I chose an external drive for Library and Content Path and it still works for me.

I run into the same issue,i.e usd plug in not loading with the same error message but I don’t have NUKE installed on my laptop.I do have a couple other like davinci, substance pt ,substance dz .Which one could be the culprit in my case?
