Can't find batch render in images path location

 So...

I batch rendered or so I thought. Neither Maya Hardware or Maya Software would work -- I would set it up to render a quicktime file (.mov or so I thought). Went about Render Settings as methodically as possible. It would start the render, end a few seconds after with a "render succeeded." The file is a .QT file instead which is unplayable.

I try Arnold Renderer (with 'Maya') as the file extension. It renders for 3 and a half hours (this time I can tell by the long noises coming from my Mac, a script running constantly somewhere by the MEL box, the accurate time it took for 1600 frames or so I assume).

It says the render ended successfully as well. I go to find the file in the path where it is meant to be located. Well it isn't there. I just think I am having a really miserable time with rendering.

I don't have screencaps, I wouldn't know what to screencap for this. My 'Set Project' / Project Window is correct, my file preferences / save location in Settings... I just don't know what to do about this and there seems to be no lead whatsoever online. So frustrated.

A screen grab from an error when I hit the Arnold Renderer button from the dropdown menu ("choose renderer").Screen Shot 2018-03-09 at 11.44.21 PM.jpg

You can copy text from the script history. That way you can get the full line of text and the whole error message.
