Autosave and Incrementing

Hello,

I have a query about using Autosave and Incremental saving in Maya.

If I want a file to autosave but do so incrementally, do I enable both Autosave and Incremental saving? I've heard that using both does not work without changing many settings.

Or can I change the Autosave settings so that it will incrementally save in regular intervals, without needing to enable the official "Incremental saving" method?

Whats the "official" incremental save method?
Incremental save is done via File > Increment and save which adds a .0001 to your filename, next time .0002 and so on.
autosave is one setting which you need to enable (and configure as you wish) and is incremental by default.
both are independent of each other and require no complex setup.
