Sorry, I'm new to rendering in arnold. Whenever I do a test render for an animation I'm working on, my models geometry, specifically the eyes change sizes in the Arnold render. I would like them to stay the size they are in the viewport, i've tried removing the normal map, but that didn't change anything, any answers?

Hi @Anonymous
Do you have any other maps on the eyes that aren't on the robot?
It's odd that the eyes would be affected but not anything else in the render.
Also, if you do a Maya hardware or software render does the eye size change?

There are no maps that are not on the body, I've also tested it by removing the textures and re-rendering and again the eyes are still small. As you can see above, this error does not occur in the hardware 2.0 render. It seems to be Arnold specific problem.
Hi @Anonymous
Hmm ok. You wouldn't happen to have smooth preview or something like that enabled? Cause that would explain why it looks one way in the viewport but not the same in the render.
If that's not the case, when you get a chance can you please zip and attach the scene file here or via dropbox/google drive or another file sharing program so I can take a look at it? If the file is confidential or under NDA please send it to me in a private message instead of posting it here.

Fixed it! I textured it in Substance painter and didn't know that the height map was necessary, after going through my WIP files one by one and looking over it I tried plugging them in the the eyes and they work now! Thanks so much for helping me out, turns out you were right about the textures in the first place, Thanks so much!
Hi @Anonymous
