Anyone have this issue? Error: ERROR | [gpu] Exception thrown during GPU execution: OPTIX ERROR INVALID VALUE

I can't seem to GPU render anymore. I constantly get this error:

Error: ERROR | [gpu] Exception thrown during GPU execution: OPTIX ERROR INVALID VALUE.

I have included the GPU render settings screenshot, everything is set at default values as well as the render log errors I am getting. I can render using CPU just fine, and I used to be able to render with GPU, however it just throws this error every time now and it doesn't matter what the scene is big or small.

Any help is appreciated.

I'm getting the same issue. Started when I installed the latest update a few days ago.

I did some testing and for me, it's the OSL Bitmap lookup map. If I use a standard bitmap map, the gpu works again. But all my maps are OSL and this is what gives me the same error as you. I think the latest Max update broke those maps somehow.

I did some testing and for me, it turns out the gpu error we are getting is caused by the latest NVidia driver! It's not Max or Arnold. I simply installed a older Nvidia Studio driver and everything works again with GPU and OSL maps. I hope this also works for you.

I wish it was that for me, i can get it to do GPU without this error even with simple arnold shaders, with no texture maps.

I think I'm going to have to give this a shot. Thanks for the info. I had updated Maya and my NVIDIA drivers at the same time so I didnt know which cause the issue. What version did you roll back to?

Thanks

I did the same, I updated Max and Nvidia 😉
It's definitely the Nvidia driver. I rolled back to:
551.86
Good luck. It should work.

In my case doesnt work, I use the driver 551.86 and CUDA 12.0, I use 980Ti and is compatible with Arnold. Impossible to fix it.
