3d type text tool missing

I deleted the 3d type text in Maya how can I get it back ?

Are you missing the Type Tool?

If so it's possible the plug-in hasn't been loaded. To fix this, go to Windows->Settings/Preferences-> Type Tool and make sure it is loaded and auto-loaded.

Hi. I'm having trouble. I still can't find the 3D type tool. It's not letting me Load it. It lets me select Auto Load.. but not Load. What does that mean??

You may want to try closing Maya and deleting your settings/preferences.

Once you've done that, launch Maya and try and load the Type tool plug-in.
