animation doesn't play on skeleton

I have two FBXs, one for the skeleton and mesh. And the other one with the animation. The namespace is correct. But when i try to put the animation onto the model it only jumps into the pose of the first frame of animation. But the animation in itself does not work. I feel like ive done everything to try and fix this. not even uninstalling and reinstalling helped.

Are you retargeting animation using HIK skeletons?  Would I be able to have a copy of your file?
