Hi i have made a little animation in maya with some keyframes for my camera, my screen doesn't show me what is happening at 120 (on the timeline) when i have my cursor on 120.... it only shows it when i play it from the beginning and after that, i try to play back in time by just dragging over the timeline but nothing happens before i start from the beginning again. please help if someone knows how to fix this.

Hi!

Do you have a simulation or a keyframed animation?

The simulation needs to be computed frame by frame, except if you created a cache-file.

You also might check settings for Dynamics / Simulation in Preferences.

hi thanks fot your answer, i used bullet physics on the animation if that is what you mean by simulation, not really sure what that is, but i use about 5 keyframes.

and i went into the dynamics preferences and tryed to turn on "run up to current time" and set it to "start time" but still nothing happened....

i dont really know hat a catch file is but i just created a normal maya file, just the automatic setup and i currently work in  the maya classic workspace

Hi!

Bullet is type of simulation / dynamics.

Maya has multiple simulation types in they don't all share the same behavior, but scrubbing the timeline don't work correct for most of them and is not recommended. For free timeline scrubbing with Bullet you need to bake (/ pre-render / cache) the simulation (Export to Alembic).
