Script Editor missing; Command Window pops up, instead 2

Hello, my Maya Script Editor is not working; when I click to open the Script Editor, the Command Window pops out instead. It doesn't seem to register exterior scripts and doesn't have all the buttons above.

I have tried deleting away all the scripts I installed and restarting, but the problem still persists.

One thing to note is that I have Maya LT, but the Script Editor is available in Maya, as well, so I posted it here.

Hi @kkutliev try deleting your settings/preferences and if that doesnt work can you post a screenshot of your issue.

Yes it worked, that is the thing I tried, though I was hoping for some other solution rather than resetting everything. Thank you very much! I guess the programming of Maya doesn't lend itself to easily-findable fixes to these solutions, eh? =/

There's is an easier fix, just go to Windows->Workspaces->Reset to factory defaults, it will reset your workspace but will keep your other settings intact.
