MAYA won’t batch render, keeps crashing.

Hi everyone,

I am very new to this software and was hoping that someone would be able to help me! I’m trying to batch render my animation that I have done, using very simple roatation and movement animations.

Im trying to save my animation as a movie however it will not render for some reason.  I’ve played around with the settings but it fails every time.

I hope somone one can help as I’ve been trying for days and it’s for my university project.

Thanks in advance,

James

If you are using Arnold, the 'batch render' function won't work without a different licence. No, I'm not sure why they did it that way.

What happens if you render normally? Does it crash?

Hi,

I think it’s a bug with the latest version of MAYA, as I have installed the 2017 version now instead and it’s rendering first time perfectly.

Thanks for the fast response!

Well, I can render in 2019 fine, so it's not necessarily a bug. There may be other things going on. Does it make a crash file?

Hi, not it doesn’t. It’s really strange as I’ve done it the exact same way in the 2017 version with the same settings and everything is rendering perfectly. It’s really weird.

Does it happen with a new file, with just a sphere and light?

Which rendering engine are you using?
