how to make camera follow moving character without shake?

Hi. I'm a student learning basic animation.

recently I made run cycle and also made it moves forward.

I wanted to render the side view of it so I made character-camera parents ( checked only translate z) constrain.

and there's a problem that the character's 'translate z' is not a straight line as you can see below.

so the camera and the rendered video also rattled.

I searched other people's run cycle but mostly they didn't made the character actually moves forward.

just making a run cycle and render the side view of it so there's no any rattle.

I can do that, but I want to know how to make camera follow a character witch is actually moves forward.

Thank you for reading it 🙂

Assuming you have single-node camera (no Aim), for a straight run cycle you don't need constraints, overthinking. Simply, Z-snap camera to e.g. the root joint at the frame #1, set translate keys. Then go to the end of the intended animation and move Z-snap camera to the same joint again, set keys. In the GraphEditor ensure both key tangents are set to Linear.
