Exporting animated sweep mesh

I've used the Sweep Mesh tool to create a mesh cable from a curve and I've animated the curve to have the mesh move around.

The only problem is I cannot export the mesh with the curve's animation.

HELP!!!!!

Export as what? Exporting within the Maya domain should automatically export all the nodes that are connected to the one in question.

Well, afaik, you rather want to export Alembic to Unity.

FBX won't support complex Maya node network.. if you can, convert your setup to a skinned/blendshaped mesh, then it will be exported.

I was hoping I could just bake the animation to keyframes. 😞

Do you know how to convert to a skinned/blendshaped mesh?

I can't possibly guess what is in your scene, sorry.

I wouldn't cling to that FBX paradigm so much, better look into Alembic export, which IS supported by both Maya and Unity.
