For the past 2 days, I've started to get this string of errors that's causing me to have an exceptional amount of problems with animating parented objects in my scene. The error goes as follows:

// Error: Line 1.1: Syntax error //
I've come to the realization that it is not a problem with Maya, but a problem with my scene. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Maya 2020, and went as far as to downgrade back to Maya 2018, but the problem is with the file itself.
I'm quickly running out of options, and I don't know how to fix whatever is going on.
Update: This is a Maya wide problem. I just opened a new scene with a new rig, and I still get the error.
