Double constraint rotation problem

Hi there!

I'm having constraints problems. As you can see in the video I recorded, the "Parent Constraint" overrides the "Normal Constraint" I have on the mesh. Is there any way to keep both as I explained in the video?

Thanks

Hi!

So movement exactly like on the left is not possible with the geo+normal constraint setup. You can achieve something similar by just creating a group, putting it at the same place as your cube, parenting the cube under it and then parentconstraining the Group to the main control instead of the cube itself. You'll also need to define the world up type of the normalconstraint as "Object Rotation Up" and use your Sphere as world up object.

However in some cases this will still cause problematic rotations/flipping you'll have to animate around. If that bothers you, you should probably look into more solid sliding setups that are Follicle or Rivet based.

I hope this helps!
