Hi!

You are probably better off by just following a good tutorial. A great way to assign Mocap to a Rig is by using the HIK reassignment process.

This tutorial explains the process step by step:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiSHnYYciec

Some important points:

Your rig needs to be in T-Pose for this to work properly.

When assigning Controls, The IK system normally works better than the FK system. So have your limbs in IK mode for this process.

When assigning the rig, you need to make sure that you select the deform joints and not the IK or FK joints.

Now if you work through this tutorial and it still doesn't work, you can tell me what specifically gives you problems and we'll figure it out. But I think if you follow the tutorial closely it explains it better than I could in a comment here. It's also what I recommend to my students to learn it.

I hope this helps!

thank you for responding,I know how to characterize custom rigs with human IK, in this case though I would like to use the Advanced skeletons name matcher and mocap tool since they already have presets for motionbuilder,Iclone,Mixamo and rokoko. The problem is I just cant find a clear tutorial on how to do it may be you can help me with that

Hello Kahylan!

I want to ask you about the fingers. When we create the custom rig mapping, there's no option to put the finger control. Do you know how to put control to the finger? Or we must animate the finger manually?

Thanks in advance!
