Cant move some keys in time slider when the graph editor open (Maya 2017 upd. 3)

I noticed that if shift middle click a key in the new update (3) of maya 2017, certain key ticks in the time slider will not move. Some will.

If i close the graph editor, i can move all the keys as normal.

Frustrating. Need some help.

Thanks!

What Operational system are you on?  I will look into this as it could be a regression bug.  Also reset your Maya prefs. to see if it is not something left from Update 2 that might be messing this up?  What GPU are you using?  is your driver up to date?  I look forward to your reply.. I will also test on my end to see if I can easily repro or not.

i reset the preferences to default and still am getting the same result. Some keys move, some keys dont. Closing graph editor, all keys move. Movie attached (note: graph editor open while performing these actions)

That is weird.. I just tried to repro on my end and I get no issues.  I'm able to select and move all the keys.  Maybe try to change your Evaluation mode from Parallel to DG?  I did mine on Parallel and had no issues.  I do have a Quadro GPU yet that should not be the issue.  your card should be robust enough.  Also switch from OpenGL to DX under display in your preferences and settings.  Lets see what else it could be.  Let me know if any of the above helps out.

Are you using a Wacom tablet?  any special mouse or devise I should know about?  Ok let me know, thanks.

tried all of your suggestions and no change. Ive tested it on a coworkers machine as well and he experiences the same issues. Not all the keys exhibited the same results....in your test set a bunch of keys and try to move them all.

Ok got it, I see what you meant now.. try to select a huge row of keys and try to move them.  So one by one they all worked fine.  selecting keys with a short selection space (bar turning red etc..) I was able to work fine.  When I selected a large space when you click on it the red bar disappears and you are left with no selection (I this what you mean?)

The only way I got it to work correctly is if you select the little yellow arrows, seems this might be by design now.  see if selecting the little arrows does the trick.  I will check with the Maya Development team about this one.  Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

interesting...what youre experiencing i did not. If i select a large number of keys and drag in the red the selection will stay and the keys will move.. My main issue is with selecting single keys. The red selection will stay but the key will not move. It will happen with large selections of keys if the last key on either end is one of the keys im having issues with. The only way i have been able to deal with it is overshooting the single key selection (which basically looks like selecting 2 frames). That will allow me to move an individual key that is giving me issues. Attached is another movie.

In the movie the 1st key i select wont move if i select just it. I then select multiple frame ranges and it will move. You see the same results when i select multiple keys.

Hi!

Could you please upload the scene-file.

My first thought was that the key is maybe not at the exact frame-position where you try to grab it (there is a big change for counting time in Update 3). What happens if you try to grab 1 frame before?

Youre right!!! If i grab the previous frame it moves. Thats still weird. Attached is the file.  Keyframes 0, 6, 23, & 50 work as intended. Keyframes 13, 32, & 40  are problematic. If i grab the previous frame on those keys it will move !

BTW this bug happens when the graph editor is open. If its closed, everything works as intended. Crazy!

Hi!

I can reproduce it and as you said it only doesn't work correct when Graph Editor is open.

I also tried placing the key by numeric input in Graph Editor (first to an other frame and then back to frame 32), it doesn't help.

Please report this problem (bug?) to Autodesk.
Help -> Speak Back -> Report a Problem

and include the scene-file.

Is there any update to this issue? We are definitely still experiencing it in my studio.
