Place from Content Center: Order of items in selection lists

Dear community,

I added some fasteners to a custom content center library but the items in the selection lists are in a random order.

I want the nominal length to be ascending... How can I achieve this?

Thanks

Kind regards,
Toon

This order is not random I guess? It is the order of the dimensions in the table that belongs to the Content Center Family?

Do you mean that the order of the key columns in the family table (left to right) represents the the sorting order?

In my case:

- first sort all items ascending on then nominal length

- then alphabetically on material

- finally on thread description

No I mean that in the snippit you attached: in the column nominal length the length 12 is not in the correct position.

It show like this

  • 12
  • 4
  • 5
  • 6
  • 8
  • 10
  • ...

But you want it to show as

  • 4
  • 5
  • 6
  • 8
  • 10
  • 12
  • ...

So my best guess is to move the 12 nominal length row below the 10 and then it will be fixed. You should always insert rows at the correct position.

May I ask how do you check if an fastener is in stock or not? 😄

I never paid attention to the positions of the rows because the A-Z sorting button changes the order of the rows without taking the RowStatus in account... So all my family tables are sorted on Material now...
Is there any way to save the current order as the default order?
e.g. I use the A-Z button to sort my family table properly and then I save this order? Maybe using Excel?

Maybe, you can try open the excel and sort it by selecting the table and right click sort ...
