iWeldment/iAssembly - Read & Use Data from iPart Table

I've done a bit of digging for this, but nothing seems to match my requirement.

I want to read & use specific dimension data from from an iPart in a weldment file.

I tried linking the iPart file as a folder in the weldment parameters, but it displays the values that are current in the iPart, not the data from the table that reflects the iPart member current in the weldment file.

The end goal is to make the an iweldment, so each iPart member can be selected & various other components making up the weldment will adjust position to the the iPart member selected.

I could use constraints in a different way to effect this, but wonder if it's possible to do it by reading & using the data in question.

I found some code from another thread which will read the data, but I am not clear on how to embed it into the weldment file to automate the process.

There is also an issue on part colour, but that's possibly for a different thread.

Here is a post that works directly in and  with the factory file. You can use the ilogic snippets to check iPart rows in an assembly but it will have limitations.

Can you post a sample set of files with the code you have found and images of the workflow. I can only look at 2020 files bug I am sure others can help out if the material is available.
