Why can't I suppress a body in a multibody part in Inventor?
In solidworks I can.

Hi @marcos.pellizzoniT2NXB.  Only the folks at Autodesk could properly answer that one.  We can control the visibility of individual SurfaceBody objects in Inventor, but in order to truly suppress a SurfaceBody, we would have to suppress or modify the feature(s) that created it.  And if we did that, it might also effect any other bodies, features, or sketches that may be dependent on that body, or feature(s) that were suppressed.  Suppression was originally just meant to help with application performance by unloading stuff from Inventor's session memory, and the suppression status was recorded by the LOD's (LevelOfDetailRepresentations, which were later replaced by ModelStates).  If you are trying to control mass, you could try converting them from solid to surfaces, then maybe turn their visibility off.
