Apply load to a specified area on content center files

Hi,
I have been trying to simulate a stress analysis on a assembly that i've made. It consists of a metalsheet part as the main body, through which i have placed 2 bolt assemblies
Like many new people to stress analysis, i figured out that i would have to split the part, to apply force to a wanted area.
But my problem is that i am not allowed to edit content from the contet center, so i can't split the part.
I've marked the area in red where i want to apply the load

Split example.PNG

Any suggestions on how to apply the load to the specified area? Any help is appreciated 🙂

Could you use derived parts for analyse?

I have done that succesfully, but i like doing things in best practice, and it wouldn’t remember the materials of the derived parts. And i would like to keep the original material for the content center files so that in sure it meets the standards.
I might be too picky, and if there is no perfect solution, i will say a derived part is the best option, and pick your answer as the solution.
