Add-In Tab & iProp Wiz add in missing

We had a power outage last week while I was away from the office. A single user has lost the “add-in” tab on the ribbon in Inventor. I done the following…

  1. Sign into that system as myself to see if it was a profile issue. With my account everything was there correctly.
  2. I copied the iProp folder from the program data directory from my account to theirs in hopes that maybe a file was corrupt or something. No luck.
  3. Used the Inventor resist utility. No luck.
  4. Maybe sure the iProp wiz was updated. No luck
  5. Uninstalled/reinstalled iprop wiz. No luck.
  6. Used the Inventor Add-In tool to ensure that the add-in is loaded. Looks correct. Open Inventor but it is not there. Open the "Add-Ins" inside of Inventor and the iProp wiz is not loaded. I check the box to load automatically and close Inventor. Re-open Inventor and the add-in is not loaded and looking at the add-ins the box is unchecked again.

Any ideas?

The fix via Neil Munro

  1. Close Inventor.
  2. Browse to C:\Users\<user id>\AppData\Local\C-Cubed\iPropWiz 6\
  3. Delete iPropWiz 6.config
  4. Start Inventor.

Thanks,

Jason
