Access model information from drawing

I have an iAssembly with several configurations. When I choose between the configurations, I want to update a table on a drawing.

What is the best way to pass the information from the 3D model to the drawing? I have done some testing trying to access Custom Properties, but I need to receive this from the parentfactory file. Anyone?
