Visual studio 2017 Inventor plugin project template

Hi,

Help of Inventor refers to Inventor adinn project template for Visual studio.

I have installed visual studio 2017 but this template is not on the list.

How should I install it?

My best guess is that you'll need to reinstall the SDK Developer Tools from here:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor {version}\SDK\developertools.msi

that should fix things.

Theoretically it should work but it didn't.

I suppose project template is just a bunch of files somewhere in Visual Studio directory.

Perhaps it would be enough to copy them form someone who has this working?

you didn't mention what Inventor version you were working with, perhaps that has a bearing on the situation..?

Two last post I had accidental send from another account.

Sorry for the mess.

I am using inventor 2017.

I have installed Visual studio 2017 and also installed "developerstools" for currrent version of inventor.

I seems all installations went fine, no errors.

When launching VS I do not have inventor adinn template in new project - > VisualBasic.

The SDK never worked.  Unless you're using I think VS 2010.

You can unpack the SDK and copy the Template zip file to VS Template folder.

You'll need to make some changes to get it to work.

I've attached template I used in VS 2017 Community, if you want to try.

I might have the original template somewhere.

Mine is in Documents\Visual Studio 2017\Templates.
