Hi all,

We have recently upgraded our inventor software from 2011 to 2012.

In 2011- We have made our own template and stored in a folder. During Project creating we made the path of template as our template path. Then we used to set "use default style library" as NO. Then we able to use our template comfortably.

Now we in 2012 we have read-write, read only options for "use default style library" . i tries both but still not able to use my template.

erroe message screen shot while opening with my template is attached for reference.

can any one please help out us in resolving the issue.

Thanks in advance....

If my memory is correct you will need to open the template up, not start a new from it.  Then update the styles, save the file and try to start a new file.

Here is a better explanation.

If you want to overwrite the style definitions from your template file into your style library, do the following.

  • In the active project set the option Use Style Library = Read-Write.
  • Do not start a new file, but open the template browsing to its location (i.e.: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2012\Templates).
  • Menu Manage, Styles and Standards, Save.

  • In the following Save Style to Style Library dialog, click on Yes to All and then OK.

  • Click Yes in the following message and save the file.
