Options to freeze a design

I have an iAssembly with many sub-iAssemblies. I have created an iLogic workflow to be used on different orders, which does the following:

   1. Creates a copy of the master iAssembly

   2. Converts iAssembly to regular assembly

   3. Copies the assembly drawing and replaces with new reference

But - the assembly also have several sub-iAssemblies. When the workflow is used to generate a new order, I need to freeze each of the subassemblies so it's possible to go back in history and see the design for each project. Is the only option to run Copy Design of all sub-assemblies, drawings and parts for each project, or are there other ways to freeze a design?

If Copy Design of all components is the only option; is iLogic capable of doing this? I have found examples to copy top level assembly, but not all related subassemblies and parts.
