Is it possible to batch update DWG Title Block using an external rule?

We have had several instances where our drawing sets have required title block changes. Sometimes our drawing sets end up being over 100 different drawings and it really is a waste of engineering time to have someone go through and update the drawings. 

I'm hoping to create a template titleblock to use while making the drawings and then have the ability to update that template and batch update all of the drawings.

Any ideas or help here would be greatly appreciated!

If it is to update common elements like titleblock, symbols, border from template to drawings there is the drawing resource transfer wizard.

For all other items you could customize some API samples or indeed look to this forum for specific details. Styles can be the tricky element of this but you could also just run the sync button if all styles are based on the same titles as used in the template and style library. 

What are the items that need updating?
