Inventor Save Bug

I am using the attached code to transfer materials from a template in to an existing part document.

On one laptop this works fine; all the materials are copied across and are still present when the part is reopened.

On another laptop the material list for some reason is not saved and obviously isn't there when I reopen it.

If I set a breakpoint just after adding all the materials from the template into the document, I can see they do exist in the part.  Indeed looking at the material list within Inventor confirms this.

After the part is saved and then reopened, the material list has vanished.

These are two physically different laptops (although they are the same model and spec running WinXP Inventor 2010 32bit) running the exact same code; one saves the part one does not.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi,

I know this is not the question...but can we know why do you use this macro? It has some additional function?

As i know Inventor have ability to perform this action without any additional macro. Like Style Management Wizard.

Hi,

Yes, it does have additional functionality.  Basically it is automated to look at 70000+ parts on a server and add all the missing materials.

Thanks
