Can it create an i-logic rule to assign appearance to ipt faces in Assembly environment.

I'm looking into the same issue. I may end up using the iLogic method not because I don't want to pick faces -- I don't want to pick them AGAIN if the appearance changes.

For me, it looks like the best approach is using attributes. You can assign each face an attribute and then have iLogic search for matches and apply the appearance.
