How to create dimensions between two features

I am try to create a dimension between two folds on a sheet metal part.  I need to use this to control the height, width and depth.  I can create dimensions on a single sketch, no problem.  However, how do you set dimensions when they don't appear on the same sketch?

Thanks

Hi,

I think you have to try with Project Geometry in Sketch mode. Can you send screen capture?

Please see attached.

Also, I have looked into Project Geometry thanks to your reply, although I really don't understand it at all.

I checked out a few Youtube videos but they don't seem to have helped.

If you still think that Project Geometry is the right solution, could you possibly point me in the direction of a decent online tutorial for it?

Many thanks for all your help in advance!!

Hi,

I found some solution. I used bend command instead flange, but first of all I created workplanes and on them draw faces (XY and WorkPlane1). That workplanes could easly control with parametars (Len parametar).

If you need 3D text use classic sketch command, and then Text Command, and the end extrude. If you need only 2D do the same except extrision.

regards.
