Hide or show parts in a part list depending on custom properties from the part.

Hi everyone, because you're so helpfull I have a new puzzle for you!

We build assembly's in our workshop with several key components and a lot of mounting components. On my drawings parts list I only want the key components to show up. Mounting components will not be mentioned on my drawings. Is there a way, for example via custom iProperties that my parts list only shows the parts with a specific property or parameter or rule?

For example; my assembly exists of:

- valve (key component)

- bracket

- adaptor

- actuator (key component)

- mouting kit

- switchbox (key component)

(all of those are single parts)

I want my drawing list to only show the valve, actuator and switchbox.

And of course all automated, otherwise i have to manually hide the components on every drawing.

I hope its possible...!?

Thanks in advance!

Have you heard of BOM Structures?

Just looked into the BOM Structures, can't change my BOM structure of the parts in my assembly accept for the grounded part. If I change to phantom, does the part appear in my drawing? (they need to appear) This could be a solution if I can change the BOM structure of the mounting parts to phantom.

==========EDIT==========

Just found the 'document setting' to change the BOM structure! I'll continue puzzling!

Hi M.A.J. Santbergen

There's a new app on the exchange apps website that lets you do exactly that. Create saved filters for showing only the components you want in drawing views and parts lists. Use up to 2 custom or standard iProperties to control what is visible and what is filtered out. You update the filters with a single click whenever the assembly model changes.

Let me know what you think of it.
