Edit Dialog Box for drawing views - Creating Custom Views

When trying to create a custom view in a drawing I am not able to create a custom view.

In previous experience with inventor I was able to choose a "look at" option as my view.  But with this installation that option does not even exist in my dialog box.  Is there another way around this, or a way to add the view option in the initial "Drawing view dialog box"?

Thanks,

Keith

When you first initiate the command to create a Base View, you will usually see a preview of a default view of the model somewhere on in your drawing area, and will also see a ViewCube somewhere on the screen, which allows you to specify which view you want to place.  While that viewcube is visible, click the little down arrow by the lower right corner of it, to open a small menu.  Select "Custom View Orientation..." from that menu.

Once you have clicked on that option, you will be in a regular 'mode' screen, where you can use your normal zoom, pan, orbit, and the 'Look At' tool, you're looking for.  Once you have the mode oriented the way you want it, click the big green check mark in the ribbon "Finish Custom View", and it will return you to the drawing, where you can finalize placing the view.
