You can work with Excel and databases by code, but I don't believe you can update properties within the ContentCenter documents, because they are considered to be within a Library, which means they are write protected (read only).  You normally can't open parts from the ContentCenter, make edits/changes, then save the document again.  I don't have Vault, so I don't know if this works in a different way with that system.  Perhaps if you copied the file to a directory outside the ConentCenter, then ran your update code on it, then saved it, then moved the file back into the ContentCenter directory, it may work, but that sounds like it would take a long time and use a lot of system resources.

Content center is not 100 % .. but you have to setup your our read/write content center.. but I do not if it is possible to you write to the content centor form outside of the content center editor. or if the content center can read form other source .. like you can do in normal Excel. I do not need to be a live update ... ones a day or maybe ones a week might be find to help  us make better design choses  for cheaper contruktion , or faster production if that is the most importen factor....

What I want is to make a system that make accessing this infomation faster ..and in one place

I wander if either of these two posts would contain any ideas that may help you any?

Create iProperties for all parts in Content Center

Change Content Center Parts to 'Purchased'
